Episode 5: Colby Wentlandt

Two Races and a Beer: We give this segment a make over this episode and convert it over to "One Race and two beers" with Bo Millwood and Karen Jackson as the run down the coast in the 2015 Tarheel Ultra. Their Spotlight beers are Oskar Blues, Pinner and Outer Banks Brewing Stations, Lemon Grass Wheat Ale. This may be a podcast first where we interview someone during a race!

Runner Spotlight: Colby Wentlandt joins us after his record breaking run at the 2015 Icarus 6-Day race. Colby ran his first 100 miler at the age of 12 and just prior to his 15th birthday (Nov 29) he ran a total of 361 miles while setting multiple records along the way. Colby gives us insight to what it takes to train for and run the distances that he does. His positive attitude towards the naysayers is spot on and there is nothing that can break his spirit or his love for running!

Two Races and a Beer: Jason "Yeti" Green joins us and chats about his upcoming Yeti 100 and Yeti Snakebite 50/50. His Turkey-Trot beer of choice this episode is the Great Divide Hibernation Ale

Runner Spotlight: Caleb Denton is coming off his most recent win while setting a new course record at the 2015 Duncan Ridge Trail 50k. This is Caleb's third overall win of the year after running his first ultra in March, of THIS year!

Caleb's impressive resume this year comes from plenty of hard work and dedication that can only be measured by the countless hours he spends on the trail.

As he continues to focus his training and racing plans, Caleb finds himself at the head of the pack early in his running career. I'm looking forward to watching Caleb's running path and everywhere it leads him.

Episode 3: Franklin Baker

Franklin Baker began running with his dad, Bill Baker after years of watching and crewing him at Ultra events. Making a quick jump from 5k's to his first 50k in 2007, Franklin quickly moved to the front of the pack and found himself running away with his second Ultra win of 2015 at the Georgia Jewel 50 Miler.

"I enjoy seeing just how far I can push my body and enjoy reaping the benefits of my physical hard work"

In addition to working fulltime, Franklin balances his love of running by sharing time out on the trail with his wife Jenny and his kids. Franklin is a perfect example of what Grounded Running is all about and we look forward to watching Franklin's Ultra Running career and wish him the best of luck with everything that he does!

Check out his great interview filled with training, nutrition and motivational tips.
